Contributor Guidelines

The Systems Line is a single editorial voice, but it's fed by many. If you have research, a story, or a guest the world should hear — here's how to get it to us.

Research & Sourcing

Help us see what others miss. We welcome primary documents, datasets, court filings, leaked memos, and on-the-ground reporting that sharpen an episode's spine.

  • Send sources with context — a line on why it matters.
  • We verify independently; anonymous tips are read but not used without confirmation.
  • Original documents beat summaries every time.

Pitch an Episode

One system. One intersection. One question worth a full episode. Tell us the debate, the stakes, and who holds the levers.

  • A working title and a one-paragraph thesis.
  • Why now — what makes this a story for this moment.
  • Two or three angles we probably haven't considered.

Suggest a Guest

Operators, researchers, whistleblowers, and contrarians — people close enough to a system to know where its levers actually are.

  • Name, role, and the system they're inside.
  • What they can speak to that no one else can.
  • A warm intro helps; a cold one is fine too.

House Rules

"No hype, no fear, no hot takes. Bring us a system we can trace — and the people who actually hold its levers."

Response time

We read every submission. Expect an editorial reply within 5–7 days. If it's time-sensitive, say so in the subject line.

What we credit

Researchers and sources are credited by name on request, or kept anonymous at your preference. Your call, always.
