The Systems Line respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we store it, and the control you have over it.
01Data We Collect
- —Newsletter subscribers: your email address, and optionally your name. We store this so we can send you new-episode notifications.
- —Contact / submission form: your name, email, and the message or file you submit. We store this so our team can review and follow up on your tip, question, or feedback.
- —Account data: if you create an account on this site (for example, to access the admin area), we store your email address and a hashed password.
02How We Use Your Data
- —Newsletter emails are used only to send new-episode notifications and occasional show updates.
- —Contact submissions are used only to review and respond to your message. We never publish a submission without your explicit permission.
- —We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
03How We Store Your Data
- —Subscriber and submission data is stored in our application's database, hosted on the Base44 platform.
- —Contact submissions are also appended to an internal spreadsheet our editorial team uses to triage tips and feedback.
- —We retain subscriber data until you unsubscribe. We retain submission data for as long as it is useful for follow-up, and you may request deletion at any time.
04Your Rights
- —Access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- —Correction: you can ask us to fix inaccurate data.
- —Deletion: you can ask us to delete your data, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

05Third Parties
- —Your podcast listening platform (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.) collects its own download statistics about you under its own privacy policy.
- —We use the Base44 platform to store data and send emails. Base44 processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security standards.
- —We do not embed third-party advertising trackers on this site.
06Data Retention & Children
- —We keep your data only as long as described above. When you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data from our active systems.
- —The Systems Line is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
